Eye Exams
The Problem:
You haven’t seen an ophthalmologist for quite some time
Services we provide:
It’s important to get regular eye check-ups so that we can look for eye diseases
Glaucoma
Not all eye diseases affect vision early on – Glaucoma gradually decreases vision to a point where only your central vision remains. Medical management is the primary treatment and may help avoid surgery in the long run.
Diabetic Retinopathy
Diabetes is the number cause of vision loss in adults under 60. It’s important to see us if you have diabetes and haven’t been seen. Early treatment may help prevent vision loss.
Pterygium
Pterygium is a condition where a growth on the surface stimulated by dryness and sunlight can gradually cover the visual axis. This can be managed and surgically treated.
Cataracts
Cataracts occur when our lenses become cloudy. We can follow the course of the cloudiness and offer surgery when vision is significantly impaired.
Dry Eyes
Dry eyes are a very common condition and can lead to surface irritation, light sensitivity, blurred vision, and tearing.
Why tearing? It’s because the surface of the dry eye is irritable. The eye reflexively tries “to rinse out” the irritation, which leads to tearing.
Blurred Vision
Maybe it’s time to get a new prescription for glasses or update the pair you’re wearing now.
Emergency Services
Corneal abrasions, infections, and injuries can happen. We’re here to provide treatment and referral, if needed.
